Alarm Monitoring and Intrusion Detection Systems are security measures used to detect and respond to unauthorized entry or activity in a protected area. An Intrusion Detection System (IDS) uses sensors, such as motion detectors or door/window contacts, to detect unauthorized entry or movement within a secured space. When a sensor is triggered, the IDS sends an alert to a central monitoring system, which can then initiate an appropriate response, such as contacting the authorities or sounding an alarm.
